Welcome to YEA
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) was established under the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887) to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and sustainable development of the nation. Its objective is to support the youth between the ages of 15 to 35 years through skills training and internship modules to transit from a situation of unemployment to that of employment.
In this journey called life, our destiny lies within the work of our hands. At YEA, we believe in the power of skills, the strength of determination, and the beauty of shaping one's own future.
As we witness the progress being made at our skills training centers across Ghana, we're reminded of the profound truth echoed in Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might."

At YEA, we believe that the future of our nation lies in the hands of its young people. As an Agency, our mission is clear: to create sustainable, decent, and meaningful employment opportunities for the youth of Ghana. Through strategic partnerships, innovative programs, and responsive policies, we are transforming the narrative around youth unemployment—moving from challenges to opportunities, and from potential to performance.
We recognize the diverse talents and aspirations of Ghanaian youth across all regions, and we are intentional in our approach to design inclusive and targeted interventions that leave no one behind. Whether through skills training, entrepreneurship support, job placements, or community-based initiatives, YEA is committed to building pathways that connect young people to the world of work.
As the Chief Executive Officer, I am proud of the strides we continue to make, but I am even more excited about what lies ahead. We are entering a new phase of growth, innovation, and digital transformation—one that will open doors for more young people and position Ghana as a leader in youth-focused employment policy on the continent.
