The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale, together with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Abubakari Saana Abdul-Kudus, and members of Management, engaged staff of the Northern Regional Office as part of the Agency’s ongoing regional tour aimed at strengthening internal collaboration and enhancing service delivery across the country.

The engagement formed part of Management’s broader efforts to interact directly with staff, assess operational challenges, discuss strategies for improving productivity, and reinforce the Agency’s shared commitment to youth employment and national development.

During the meeting, the CEO commended staff of the Northern Regional Office for their dedication and contribution towards the implementation of YEA programmes within the region. He acknowledged the important role staff continue to play in ensuring the successful execution of employment and skills development initiatives that positively impact the lives of young people.

Addressing the staff, Mr. Basintale encouraged them to take pride in being part of an institution that continues to transform lives through job creation and youth empowerment interventions.

He urged staff members to serve as ambassadors of the Agency by confidently sharing the positive impact and success stories resulting from their work and contributions.

According to the CEO, the work carried out by YEA staff across the country goes beyond administrative responsibilities, as it directly contributes to improving livelihoods, reducing unemployment, and creating opportunities for thousands of young Ghanaians.

“Our work as an Agency has real impact on the lives of people. Every opportunity created, every young person empowered, and every initiative implemented contributes to national development. Staff should therefore be proud ambassadors of the Agency and the role they play in changing lives,” he stated.

Mr. Basintale further reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with staff at all levels to strengthen the Agency’s operations and expand employment opportunities for the youth.

He noted that Management remains focused on introducing innovative interventions, strengthening partnerships, and improving operational efficiency to ensure that more young people across the country benefit from sustainable employment opportunities.

The Deputy CEO, Mr. Abdul-Kudus, also emphasized the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and commitment in advancing the Agency’s mission and achieving its objectives.

Staff members used the opportunity to express their appreciation to the CEO and Management for their efforts towards improving staff welfare, working conditions, and overall comfort within the Agency.

They commended the leadership for maintaining open engagement with staff and demonstrating commitment to addressing operational concerns and creating a conducive working environment that supports productivity and effective service delivery.

The interaction also provided a platform for discussions on challenges facing the regional office, opportunities for improvement, and ways to enhance programme implementation and stakeholder engagement within the Northern Region.

The regional tour continues to serve as an important avenue for Management to connect with staff across the country, strengthen institutional cohesion, and reinforce the Agency’s vision of empowering Ghanaian youth through sustainable employment initiatives.
