YEA CEO Pays Courtesy Call on Yagbonwura During Savannah Regional Tour

As part of the Youth Employment Agency’s ongoing management tour of the Savannah Region, the Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Malik Basintale, together with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Abubakari Saana Abdul-Kudus, paid a distinguished courtesy call on the Yagbonwura, the revered King of the Gonja Kingdom.

The visit formed part of Management’s broader engagement with key stakeholders in the region aimed at strengthening relationships, promoting collaboration, and discussing strategies to enhance youth employment and development opportunities within the Savannah Region and beyond.

The delegation was warmly received at the palace by the Yagbonwura, who commended the leadership of the Youth Employment Agency for its continued efforts in addressing unemployment among the youth through various intervention programmes and job creation initiatives.

During the engagement, the Yagbonwura praised the Agency’s commitment to empowering young people and acknowledged the positive impact YEA programmes continue to have on individuals, families, and communities across the country. He noted that sustainable employment opportunities remain critical to the growth and stability of society and emphasized the importance of supporting young people with skills, opportunities, and meaningful livelihoods.

The King further encouraged the CEO and Management of the Agency to sustain and expand ongoing initiatives to ensure that more young people, particularly those within the Savannah Region, benefit from employment and skills development programmes.

According to the Yagbonwura, empowering the youth through job creation and entrepreneurship opportunities is essential to national development and social progress, adding that initiatives targeted at reducing unemployment contribute significantly to community growth and economic stability.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Basintale expressed appreciation to the Yagbonwura for the warm reception and words of encouragement extended to the delegation. He reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to implementing impactful and sustainable interventions aimed at improving the lives of young Ghanaians.

The CEO highlighted the importance of collaboration between traditional authorities and state institutions, noting that such partnerships play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of government programmes at the community level.

He further assured the Yagbonwura of the Agency’s determination to continue creating opportunities for the youth through innovative employment modules, skills training initiatives, and strategic partnerships designed to improve livelihoods and promote economic empowerment.
