The Youth Employment Agency’s (YEA) nationwide regional engagement continued in the Bono Region, where the Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale, together with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Abubakari Saana Abdul-Kudus, and members of Management, held a productive engagement session with staff of the regional office.
The meeting formed part of Management’s ongoing efforts to interact directly with staff across the country, strengthen internal collaboration, assess operational challenges, and reinforce the Agency’s collective commitment to creating sustainable employment opportunities for young Ghanaians.
The engagement provided an open and interactive platform for staff to share their experiences, discuss challenges affecting programme implementation, and present ideas aimed at improving the Agency’s operations and impact within the Bono Region.
During the session, Management listened to concerns raised by staff and discussed practical approaches to enhancing productivity, service delivery, and institutional effectiveness in the region.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Basintale commended staff for their dedication, hard work, and continued commitment to the Agency’s mission of empowering young people through employment and skills development initiatives.
He acknowledged the important role staff play in ensuring the successful implementation of YEA programmes and noted that their efforts continue to reflect positively in the increasing number of beneficiaries enrolled under the Agency’s various modules.
According to the CEO, the progress being made by the Agency across the country is a direct result of the commitment and sacrifices of staff who work diligently to ensure that opportunities reach young people in both urban and rural communities.
“Our success as an Agency is built on the dedication and commitment of staff. The growing number of beneficiaries across our programmes is evidence of the hard work being done at the regional and district levels, and I commend all staff for their contributions,” he stated.
Mr. Basintale further reaffirmed his commitment to supporting staff and improving their welfare, emphasizing that staff wellbeing remains a key priority under his leadership.
He explained that creating a conducive working environment and ensuring staff feel motivated and supported are essential to achieving sustainable results and strengthening the Agency’s overall performance.
The CEO also encouraged staff to remain innovative, proactive, and committed in the discharge of their responsibilities while continuing to uphold professionalism and integrity in all aspects of their work.
Deputy CEO Mr. Abdul-Kudus also addressed staff during the engagement and urged them to remain disciplined, steadfast, and focused in carrying out their duties.
He stressed that professionalism, teamwork, and commitment are critical to sustaining the Agency’s impact and ensuring the effective delivery of programmes aimed at reducing youth unemployment and promoting economic empowerment.
The interaction further reinforced the importance of unity and collaboration between leadership and staff in achieving the Agency’s broader vision of creating opportunities and improving livelihoods for young people across the country.
Staff members expressed appreciation for the engagement and commended Management for maintaining direct communication with regional offices and demonstrating commitment to both staff welfare and institutional growth.
The regional engagement in the Bono Region reinforced a shared resolve between leadership and staff to deepen the Agency’s impact, strengthen operational efficiency, and expand sustainable job opportunities for the youth.
