The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), led by its Chief Executive Officer, has today signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with G4S Security Services, marking a major milestone in the Agency’s mission to create sustainable employment opportunities for Ghanaian youth.
Through this strategic partnership, 6,000 young people will be recruited across the country to take up various roles within the security sector. The initiative aims not only to tackle youth unemployment but also to strengthen the security industry with a new wave of energetic, well-trained, and dedicated personnel.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the CEO highlighted the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing that it represents a shared commitment to empowering Ghanaian youth, improving livelihoods, and fostering safer communities nationwide. By combining YEA’s mandate of job creation with G4S’s expertise in professional security services, the partnership sets the foundation for meaningful and long-term impact.
This initiative also reflects the increasing demand for skilled security professionals across organizations, institutions, and communities. By offering structured training and practical employment pathways, YEA and G4S aim to equip young people with valuable skills that will serve them throughout their careers.
The MoU underscores a united vision: to create a brighter future for the next generation while contributing to national development and security. As recruitment and deployment begin, thousands of young Ghanaians are set to benefit from this transformative opportunity.
