Welcome to YEA

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) was established under the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887) to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and sustainable development of the nation. Its objective is to support the youth between the ages of 15 to 35 years through skills training and internship modules to transit from a situation of unemployment to that of employment.

PROFILE OF MR. KOFI AGYEPONG CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AGENCY

Mr. Kofi Agyepong completed his secondary education at Kumasi High Senior High School in 2002.  He proceeded to Africa University College of Communications(AUCC), earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. He attained his Master of Arts degree in Media and Public Relations from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.

As a qualified, university-trained journalist, he worked as a Journalist at the Daily Mail in the United Kingdom from 2006 to 2010, he later moved back to Ghana and served as an editor for The Publisher Newspaper. He is a member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), the world’s largest PR professional body.

Mr. Kofi Agyepong is a well-known personality in the Ghanaian media and a political communication consultant. He is the longest-serving Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party and from Offinso North Constituency of the Ashanti Region. Until his appointment, he served as the Deputy Director of Communications at the Office of the President.
